Q: What BlackBerry devices is Viira compatible with?
A: Viira is compatible with all modern BlackBerry devices. This includes the BlackBerry Torch 9800, BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Storm and Storm2, BlackBerry Tour, BlackBerry 9700, BlackBerry Curve Series, BlackBerry Bold 9000 and 9700, the 8900 and 8500 series, BlackBerry Pearl 3G and BlackBerry Style. We add new devices to the list as soon as they are released.
Q: What version of the BlackBerry OS does Viira require?
A: The latest version of Viira requires OS 5.0 or better. OS 5.0 came out about 3 years ago, so if you bought your BlackBerry since then you should be fine. Previous versions of Viira such as 3.0 and 2.2 are compatible with BlackBerry OS 4.6 and OS 4.5, respectively. Q: Does Viira work on OS 7 devices?
A: Yes.
Q: How can I tell what the OS version on my BlackBerry is?
A: On your BlackBerry, go to Options->About where you will see the release the OS version preceded by a small "v".
Q: How does the free trial differ from the full version?
A: The free trial has the exact same features as the full version. The only difference between the two is that the free trial expires after an initial 14 day period and allows a maximum of 50 tasks, 10 projects and 10 contexts at any time (in addition to any tasks from your BlackBerry Tasks application).
Q: When I buy the full version, will I still be able to use all my free trial data (Tasks, Projects, Contexts, etc.)?
A: Yes. Activating the full version is performed by entering a valid license key, and any data in Viira will be at your fingertips after the activation.
Q: Does Viira sync with MS Outlook?
A: Yes, but you will need to download a separate app for that. The Viira Outlook Suite offers full BlackBerry-Outlook synchronization (wireless and over USB) and comes with a BlackBerry client and an Outlook plugin.
The BlackBerry client looks and performs the same functions as Viira; however the Viira Outlook Suite BlackBerry client is required in order to sync with Outlook as Viira 3 does not sync with Outlook.
Q: How can I install Viira on my BlackBerry?
A: You can either install Viira Over-The-Air (OTA) or use the Application Loader that comes with your BlackBerry Desktop Software.To install Viira OTA, just clink on the link that we sent you in your registration email.
In case the email has trouble making it to your inbox (did you check your Spam folder?) you can point your BlackBerry browser to www.kartamobile.com/bb from where you will be able to download Viira straight to your BlackBerry.
Q: I want to install Viira the old-fashioned way - manually. How do I do that?
A: You will need to use the BlackBerry Desktop Softare that comes with your BlackBerry for this. After you have registered and signed up for the Beta, download the zip file containing the Viira bundle, and then follow the instructions from your Desktop Software on how to install the .alx file using the Application Loader.
Q: Does Viira transmit my usage data to your servers?
A: No. Viira does not automatically transmit any usage data to our servers. Your data belongs entirely to you.
Q: I purchased Viira a while ago, and have since switched smartphones/moved to Costa Rica (no BlackBerry service)/no longer care about getting things done. Can I get a refund?
A: No. We provide a lengthy free trial period and encourage everyone to try out the full feature set of Viira before buying the full version. All purchases of products that come with a free trial are final.
Q: I changed my BlackBerry. Do I need to buy Viira again at the full purchase price?
A: No. If you upgrade your BlackBerry within 90 days from your original purchase of Viira you will receive a complimentary device upgrade license key. Just contact support _at_ kartamobile dot com and we will issue you a replacement license key.
Beyond the first 90 days you will need to purchase a device upgrade license, currenlty $4.99.
Q: My BlackBerry got replaced because it was defective. Do I still need to buy a device upgrade license?
A: No. BlackBerries replaced under warranty with a device of the same model will receive a complimentary device upgrade license. Simply contact our support and we will issue you a license key for your replacement BlackBerry.
